Morgan.   The alienst, known as a psychologist today, helped to solve murders by a serial killer. Four of us read the book in full, and three didn't finish it. August Book Group 2018

We met at 2 members' home in Windsor this month. Very scenic ride in the country to their house. We discussed the book "Crazy Rich Asians", by Kevin Kwan. We all agreed that it was a very readable book with interesting characters. Just what a summer read should be. 1 member recently saw the movie based on this book, and enjoyed it very much. For our next book, we chose "The Bishop's Pawn", by Steve Berry. This is the Cotton Malone Series #13, and a very effective conspiracy yarn. We will meet on Wed. Oct. 3 in Windsor again. All are welcome. Contact Christine at chris6nisk5@yahoo.com for more...

We all agreed that the book was an easy read, like a summer beach novel.   Most of us, 5,  enjoyed the book for this reason.  But 2 of our group did not like the book at all: too fluffy! After reviewing a number of books for our next read; we decided on "Time and Again"...

August Book Group at The Book Vault

The Book Vault's monthly book group discussed the book, "The Little Paris Bookshop", by Nina George, for it's Aug. read. The critics raved about this book! The book elicited mostly neutral comments from our group, "it was a light read about life, love, friendship, and books". There were also many good quotes in the book about life, death, and friendship. But 2 of our members did not like the book. One actually "despised" the book. She didn't like the main premise of the book that the main character of the story, the book seller, did not read the good-bye letter from his lover for over 20 years....
